Another Compactor Installation

waste compactor

Simply Waste Solutions have had another successful compactor unit installed at a busy London site. A Simply Waste representative who has worked with this site for many years over saw the day, ensuring there were no hiccups.

This site had several challenges including narrow busy London streets and being on a steep slope. It was expertly installed by our engineers, who looked after the whole process from the initial build to giving training and demonstrations on how to operate it correctly and safely.

Training is an integral part of the day, if operatives are unsure on how to use the machine it won’t be used to its maximum potential or worse, an accident could occur. Safety is very important to us here at Simply Waste and makes up part of our attractive service.

The compaction unit is fitted with a 40-yard Roll on Roll off container supplied by Simply Waste. We have a wide variety of containers to suit different site requirements, we also provide baler units and offer mixed load collections to pick up your waste.

What does a compactor do?

A compactor uses an extending ram to compress the waste into a large container, this means that the container will take longer to fill up and need to be emptied less. This reduces the number of site visits needed, saving on transport costs and minimising their carbon footprint.
