Transitioning to New ISO 2015 Standards

ISO standards

Simply Waste Solutions is continuing its quality and environmental management systems and has transitioned to meet the new standards for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.

Simply Waste has recently undergone its annual audit to ensure its still performing within the guidelines set by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).

ISO 9001 certification is to prove that an organisation meets its own internal standards for quality and that these meet international standards.

ISO 14001 is designed to provide the framework for managing your environmental performance; reduce your environmental impacts, meet increasingly high customer expectations of corporate responsibility and comply with legal or regulatory requirements.

The auditor noted in their report:

  • 0 nonconformities
  • The environmental objectives and targets for 2018 to reduce electricity, reduce fuel emissions and improve service levels
  • The mature internal audit process. These reports provide the evidence of the system being robustly checked for compliance
  • Numerous mechanisms that can identify how customer service improvements, along with improving the working environment and resources

We’re proud to have transitioned to the new ISO standards. Quality is an inherent part of the Simply Waste offering and to have passed our audit and be recognised for our hard work is something that should be celebrated. Compliance is an increasingly important part of what we do as an organisation and we hope that our ISO standards along with the host of other accreditations we have gives our customers some well-deserved peace of mindKarla Harding, Head of Quality and Compliance
