Summer Ball Raises Over £13,000 for Charity

Cheque Presentation to Shooting Star Chase

This summer, Simply Waste Solutions held its second Summer Charity Ball in support of leading children’s hospice charity Shooting Star Children’s Hospices and raised over £13,000.

The black-tie event, held at the iconic Tower of London, was sponsored by Scania as the headline sponsor, Pearce Group, Dennis Eagle, Refuse Vehicle Solutions, Vehicle Weighing Solutions (VWS), Innovative Safety Systems, CMS SupaTrak and VWS Software Solutions as category sponsors.

The ball saw industry experts, Simply Waste customers, suppliers, employees and friends come together for an evening of wining, dining, networking and fun while raising money for this fantastic charity.

The iconic Tower of London provided a stunning backdrop for the evening and was a date in the diary that gave all attendees something to look forward to.

In total, the night raised £13,351, a huge amount of money for the charity which will help it to continue offering brilliant support and state-of-the-art facilities. It costs £10 million a year just to maintain its current level of support and care, with only around 10% of that income coming from government funding.

This year’s ball marked two years since Simply Waste started supporting Shooting Star Children’s Hospices and, in that time, it’s held numerous fundraising events and looks forward to continuing supporting this charity.
