How ‘green’ are your services?
We are a zero waste to landfill company meaning that none of your waste ends its life in a hole in the ground. We recycle as much recyclable material as possible and what can’t be recycled gets converted into energy to power homes and businesses.
We vow to always use the ‘greenest’ most practical means available to treat the waste we collect. A big part of our business is the vehicles we use to collect waste, we keep a modern fleet of vehicles in operation to keep emissions down. Our fleet is compliant with the London Low Emission Zone (LEZ) and will be ready for the Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) next year.
Each of our vehicles is tracked with full telematics system. This tells us how the driver is driving, enabling us to offer more training if necessary, to be a more economical driver.

- What is a Duty of Care (DoC) and how do I get one?
“A Duty of Care Waste Transfer Note ensures there is a clear paper trail from when the waste is produced until it is disposed of. You must keep your waste transfer notes and hazardous waste consignment notes for at least two years and be able to produce them on demand to the Environment Agency or local authority.”
As a waste producer, you are responsible for ensuring your waste is collected and disposed of in a legal and compliant manner. By electing Simply Waste Solutions as your Waste Management provider you have done just that. We will collect and dispose of your waste in the correct and legal manner ensuring your business remains compliant.
Part of remaining compliant is generating and holding on file a Waste Transfer Note for two years. In the first twelve months of your relationship with Simply Waste Solutions, your contract acts as your Waste Transfer Note and we absorb the cost for this. After the first year of service, Simply Waste Solutions will produce and store your waste transfer note for the coming year and keep it on file ready for you to request a copy at any time over the next 24 months. There is an annual charge for this of £85.00 + VAT which is free for the first year of your contract.
This is a legal document that as a responsible Waste Management Company and Waste Producer must be raised and held.
You may be asked by your local authority or Environmental Agency at any time to prove that you are disposing of your waste in a legal and compliant way and you can rest assured, whilst with Simply Waste Solutions we have you covered with your waste collection as well as documentation.Did you find this answer helpful?

To try and ensure missed collections are prevented, please make sure;
- Your waste is free of obstructions
